INGREDIENTS

  • 4 fish fillets (approx. 1.3 lbs.)
  • 1 cda aceite vegetal (aprox.  15 ml)
  • 2.8 oz. all-purpose flour
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into small cubes
  • ¾ cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 carrot, sliced in rounds
  • ½ cup peas
  • 1 cup lager beer (330 ml)
  • 11.3 oz. manioc, peeled and quartered
  • 2 cups water
  • Splash of lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, ground
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 packet (1.79 oz) Q’ocina en Casa Green Sofrito Culinary Base

PREPARATION

1-verde

Sazonar los filetes de pescado con sal, pimienta y ajo molido.
Season fish fillets with salt, pepper, and ground garlic. Lightly coat with flour, then sear pieces in a pan with hot oil. Remove fillets and reserve.

2-verde

En la misma olla, añadir el pimiento cortado en cubos pequeños y ½ tz
de culantro (cilantro) picado. Cocinar por 5 min.

3-verde

Next add water, beer, contents of one packet of Q’ocina en Casa Green Sofrito Culinary Base. and stir. Add carrot rounds, peas, and manioc. Stir and cook until manioc is cooked through.

4-verde

Add ¼ cup chopped cilantro, splash of lime juice, and stir. Add fish fillets back to pan.

5-verde

Adjust salt and cook for 3 mins. until fish is cooked through.

TIP:

  • If desired, water can be substituted with fish broth.
  • Serve with white rice and decorate with finely chopped fresh cilantro.
