INGREDIENTS
- 4 fish fillets (approx. 1.3 lbs.)
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2.8 oz. all-purpose flour
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into small cubes
- ¾ cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 carrot, sliced in rounds
- ½ cup peas
- 1 cup lager beer (330 ml)
- 11.3 oz. manioc, peeled and quartered
- 2 cups water
- Splash of lime juice
- 2 cloves garlic, ground
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 packet (1.79 oz) Q’ocina en Casa Green Sofrito Culinary Base
PREPARATION

Sazonar los filetes de pescado con sal, pimienta y ajo molido.
Season fish fillets with salt, pepper, and ground garlic. Lightly coat with flour, then sear pieces in a pan with hot oil. Remove fillets and reserve.

In the same pan, add bell pepper, chopped into small cubes, and ½ cup chopped cilantro. Cook for 5 mins.

Next add water, beer, contents of one packet of Q’ocina en Casa Green Sofrito Culinary Base. and stir. Add carrot rounds, peas, and manioc. Stir and cook until manioc is cooked through.

Add ¼ cup chopped cilantro, splash of lime juice, and stir. Add fish fillets back to pan.

Adjust salt and cook for 3 mins. until fish is cooked through.
TIP:
- If desired, water can be substituted with fish broth.
- Serve with white rice and decorate with finely chopped fresh cilantro.
